Nebula Nv-1 (ongoing worklog)

Hello, i am new to these forums, but have been eagerly watching Linus on the tubes for some time now, the livestream (now the WAN show) has become a regular part of.my weekends, and i would not have it any other way! :-)

Let me start of by saying, sorry if there is a typo here and there, i am from Denmark (as you might have already guessed from my username, lol), so english is not my first language.

I wanted to introduce myself here, by showing you all my baby, in the last few months i finally got some money together to upgrade my good ol' Sandy Bridge rig to something newer. It is still work in progress, for now i have gathered most of the parts and put it together. As of the time of writing, i still need to upgrade my memory, my ssd, and i need to ad more storage. Once i have the final parts, i wanna get some casemods going also, i won't be doing a custom water cooling loop, simply because that is much to expensive, if i were to go that route, i would not want flexible tubing (i just do not like the look of it), but rigid acrylic tubes, and that is not something that is readily available here. So i would rather put the money towards the hardware.

The current specs of the rig:

Motherboard: Gigabyte Sniper 5.

CPU: Intel Core i7 4770k.

GPU: Evga Geforce GTX 780 w. ACX cooling.

Audio card: Asus Xonar Xense.

Memory: Kingston HyperX Genesis 1600mhz, 8gb (needs upgrading, i actually had 16gb, but 2 of the sticks were blue, lol).

SSD: Corsair Force series 120gb (needs upgrading)

Storage: 2x2tb Western Digital Green. 1tb seagate, and 1.5tb toshiba, the last 2 will be replaced with another green drive, and a black drive for the games.

PSU: Corsair AX860i w. individually sleeved green cables.

Cooling: Corsair H100i in push-pull (glad i didn't go with the h110, even the h100i didnt fit in push-pull without modding, lol). Corsair SP120 Quiet Ed. fans with custom painted green rings, and a sh*tload of green led fans from cooler master scattered around the case for an external green glow. I will most likely replace the led fans with something more quiet, and let led strips handle the lighting.

Modding will include, painting the gase in a silver/green/black combo, sidepanel window, changing the psu sticker, and internal paneling to clean the inside of the case up a bit. Any further suggestions are welcome. :-) Comments, constructive critisism, and all in between are also welcome. :-)

Finally, the name of the rig is just temporary, so any auggestions for the name is most welcome!

Thanks!

GameDane.
