After all my friends got gaming computers, I finally racked enough money up to build one myself!

Here is the result.

I present to you.......

The Operating Theatre

Specs:

AMD FX 8320

8gb Hyper-x Fury 1866 MHz

Sapphire R9 290 Tri-OC Cooler

NZXT H440

Noctua NH-D15

Default case fans with an extra 140mm ghetto-mounted (patent pending) at the top

(3x 120mm front intake, 1x 120mm 1x 140mm at top exaust, 140mm above motherboard exaust)

Thermaltake Toughpower Gold 850W

Asrock Fatality Killer 990fx

Seagate Barracuda 1tb

WD Scorpio Blue 320 GB

A 2.5" Mechanical hard drive I salvaged from an external HDD

WD 600gb External HDD for backups

Dlink n600

RAT 9

Logitech G19s

Astro A50 (for gaming)

Phillips SHL3300 (for music)

Don't ask me about the monitor, I borrowed it from a friend until I can get one that isn't a perfect quadrilateral. Also I know its pretty much a crime to run this monitor with a beast like the 290

Temps (all temps in celsius):

(NOTE: I keep EVERY fan except the GPU) set to 100% 24/7. I can do this because the H440 is really good at de-noisying (patent pending) my computer)

Cpu Idle ~7 degrees

Cpu Synthetic Load ~25-30 degrees

Cpu Gaming ~35 degrees (higher temp due to graphics card)

CPU With Fans Off (They just stopped so I decided to take temps) Idle (10%)- 25 degrees

Graphics Card:

Overclocked to 1070 MHz

Idle ~35 degrees

Synthetic ~79 degrees

Gaming ~60-70 degrees

FPS:

NOTE: This was done with fraps and is not an average benchmark, I did it by eye

All resolutions fullscreen 1280x1024

Battlefield 4 Ultra (no mantle) - ~120 FPS

Minecraft - 60 fps (V-sync wouldn't turn off)

Call of Duty Ghosts - ~130 FPS

Counter Strike Global Offensive - ~180 - 200 FPS

What I Have To Do:

1) Buy an SSD

2) Overclock CPU (have to wait until 1) is completed)

3) Buy some nice noctua case fans

4) Water cool GPU

Conclusion:

I am very happy with this build and I have taken the switch from a laptop that played cs:go at low, 20 fps to a computer that can easily handle Battlefield 4 at ultra. I also like the really clean looks and the cable manegment.

And at last

I can go to Eb Games/Gamestop/Steam Store and know I can play any game there on the highest setting :)

Thanks for looking!
