Hai everywun! Just wanted to share my latest mini "project" .
So I've built my HTPC several years back and just threw it in an ugly generic ATX mid tower case I had lying around. I've been eyeing a mATX case that would fit better into my entertainment cabinet. Then finally Newegg just recently happen to have the Antec VSK-3000 on sale for like $18 with free shipping so I decided to jump on it and swap cases.
Parts:
Mobo: Gigabyte GA-880GMA-UD2H
CPU: AMD Athlon II x4 640
Ram: OCZ Gold 6GB (3x 2GB) DDR3-1600MHz
HDD: WD Caviar Black 500GB
PSU: Corsair CX-430
Heatsink: Scythe Big Shuriken with Noctua NF-A9x14
Front case fan: AntecTruequiet 120 + silverstone fan filter
When I first took it out of the box
Taped off for paint
Drilled holes for 120mm fan. Thought about cutting it out completely but wanted the option of using the stock size fan in the future
Cable routing holes cut with dremel and primed with Tremclad metal primer
Then came the black paint
Then I realized that my Scythe Mugen 2 wasn't going to fit...
Swapped out the Mugen 2 for a Big Shuriken I had laying around and slapped on a Noctua. Finished product. (note: will touch up the scratch)
