So, after a while I decided to make my next build . The last one was was like 11 years ago.
For some time now the only PC hardware I had in the house was an Acer Aspire One netbook (Atom N450, 1 GB Ram, 250GB HDD) originally with Win7 Starter - Changed to Ubuntu.
The plan is to make a basic PC that I could later on upgrade into 2 PC's - an itx for my wife and mATX for gaming for my son... well for me.
My budget at the moment is very limited ~ 270-300 USD and here is what I got:
CPU: i3-4330 Used, but on warranty for 118,20 USD (Regular price for new in Poland: 156 USD)
Fan: Stock = free
Motherboard: Asrock B85M, Working, not used but without warranty for 25,25 USD (New: 67,15 USD)
PSU: XFX TS 550, Not used, on warranty for 37,00 USD (new: 97 USD)
RAM: GOODRAM DDR3 4GB 1600MHz CL9 Play Blue New for 34 USD
Case: SilentiumPC Brutus S20 for 16 USD (there should be some scratches on it but I don't see them (New: 27 USD)
Mouse : Tracer Sniper TRM-503 - free, my boss didn't like it and gave it to me
Keyboard - Logitech K-120 - free
Monitor: free from my father in law- type to be determined.
HDD/SDD: I have a 1TB WD Green that was our main data storage, but i think i will get a new 120GB SSD for ~ 58 USD or even for free (payback points if we wont spend them for a new juicer), and use the WD as a data storage and the SSD for the system and applications. (EDIT: GOT A GOODRAM C40 120GB SSD for 47,90 USD, regular price 58 USD)
In the future I will get a GPU for it (I aim on GTX970), and hunt for some cheap m-itx board for my wife, an I5 for me (she will get the i3).
I will post some pictures later on.
