[Update] The Guinness is dead... long live Windfury

When I first built the Guinness, I went for more of a "Budget" route... I didn't spend a ridiculous amount of money, only about $2500 for the rig. Then Nvidia throws the Titan X in my face. For some reason, I knew I had to have one. So I bought one... then I bought a second.

Everyone told me I was stupid not to throw some waterblocks on them and make a custom loop. I don't mind custom loops, but I am a strong believer in air cooling. I had an NH-D15 on my CPU prior, and while nice, I wanted more. Much more. This is the result:

Before:

Intel Core i7-5820K

Noctua NH-D15

Asus X99 Deluxe

16GB of Crucial Ballistix Sport

2x EVGA 970 SSC SLI

EVGA PS 1000W Platinum PSU

250gb Samsung 850 EVO

2TB Toshiba 7200 RPM Scratch Disk

3TB Seagate Barracuda Mass Storage Drive

Corsair 500R

Now:

i7-5820k overclocked to 4.7Ghz on all cores.

Asus X99 Deluxe

Dual Titan X

EVGA PS 1000w

NH-D15, upgraded with 2 Noctua iPPC 2000 NF-A14

32GB Crucial Ballistix Sport @ 2400

250GB 850 Evo boot drive

500GB 850 Evo scratch disk

2TB Toshiba Mass Storage

3TB Seagate Barracuda Mass Storage

16x Corsair SP120 HPE

Phanteks Enthoo Primo in Black

The name behind this build update is truly appropriate... the airflow is insane. There isn't a fan hole, slot, or bracket that isn't filled. Just the way I like it. Upon completion some nerdgasming occurred. Rightfully so, I'd say.

Enjoy the nerd porn.

Windfury...

The Guinness died with honor.
