I had some extra parts so I decided to put them together for a new test bench build.

MoBo. AsRock 970 Extreme 3.

CPU.  AMD Phenom 960

RAM. 8gb of Gskill rip jaws

GPU. Evga 560ti 2gb.

PSU. Corsair CX430

HDD. Toshiba DT01ACA300

Bluray/cd/dvd burner. LG Black 12X BD-R 2X BD-RE 16X DVD+R 12X DVD-RAM 10X BD-ROM 4MB Cache SATA 12X Super Multi Blue with 3D Playback & M-DISC Support WH12LS39 LightScribe Support,  hahaha it is 2yr old.

Test Bench parts.

6 ft of 1/4" threaded rod.

12 hex nuts.

16 washers.

4 wing nuts for easy adjustment.

6x8' peg board.

The build

I started with the peg board and cut it to 18" x 9 1/2 ". The rods were cut to 18" and I filed down the ends so they were smooth. Assembly was pretty easy as all I did was thread 8 nuts on the rods at the middle and then pushed them through the 4 corners. I made it 3" high so I could store stuff under it. I put the wing nuts at the bottom of the top board so I can raise and lower it if I need to fit a bigger PSU or an HDD cage. Rubber bands were used to suspend the HDD so it would not be on top of the DVD burner. I am going to add a PCI card support rod on the top so the GPU is not loose.
