Hey guys!
Let's starts from outside:
The case is from an old ACER Aspire E500 - since it held sentimental value for my GF it was left untouched.
And now the inside:
Upgraded all the old LGA parts with the following:
CPU: Intel Pentium G3258 @4.2GHz
Motherboard: MSI H81M-P33
CPU cooler: EVO Tx3
RAM: 8GB DDR3 @1333MHz Corsair Value RAM
GPU: MSI GTX750Ti Twin Frozr 2GB
SSD: Kingston SSD Now V300 60GB
HDD: 1x160GB HDD + 1x500GB HDD
PSU: Thermaltake Munich 430W 80 Plus
CD/DVD reader/writer
Monitor: Asus 19" 1440x900p monitor
Mouse: Arma Templarius
Keyboard: Wireless Keyboard
The hardest part was cable management, but I must say I am pretty proud of it
What do you guys think?
My girlfriends awesome budget build in a 2004 OEM case.
First pc build
Any recommendations on changes or advice would be awesome thanks!
Falx: The pile of parts that somehow works.
I guess this isn't really a build log but more of a showcase, I couldn't find anywhere else to put it and the forum tells me to show off my rig... hmm.. guess it goes here then..
So yes, Falx. Well, currently Falx 2.0.
Spec:
It currently has no side panel.. Mainly because i'm DIY modding a plexi-glass panel instead of the two-fan hub it comes with as standard, you can check that out here.

Hi there! First time posting here and I would like to quickly introduce myself. I have been watching LinusTechTips on Youtube ever since I built my first ever PC following his "Ultimate Build a Better $2000 Gaming & Silent Workstation PC Computer "How To" Guide"
It is already a pretty epic setup but I needed something MORE, something a lot BIGGER. I decided to go big or go home, so I'm building this PC with the best components on the market. This is why I got off my lazy ass, stopped lurking these forums and started this build log so I can document every process of this "painful" experience, while getting some feedback on the way. Sorry for All the dust it tends to be a while in between cleanings on this pc.
This was the only pick i had from when she was first build,i would of done more but i the first mobo i had got was bad so i had to return it. So i had forgotten to take more pics.

The next pic is from after the 7970 died,i thought i had pics of the damage to the 7970,but i can't find the pics anywhere. The GPU i put in because i had no other spares at the time. It was an ATI x600.

Now on to the pics of the damage. These were taken before i started to take it apart.

Now here is some pic while i was taking it apart.

I will rebuild her some someday, idk how or when but i will update this log as i am able to clean her up and start testing parts.
I will also update once i find out how and when i am able start the rebuild.
Thank you guys for reading.

I have $650 Canadian what can I get for that price.
New Build - Black Templar
After lurking about for quite some time, I have decided to share my new build with you.
This will be a two part project. First of all, I will be gathering parts and doing some light modding and in a later stage I will be doing a custom loop for added sexyness.
I plan to do a White on Black build; meaning the case and most parts will be black(ish) with white accents added. I would have loved for a pure white build, but i really didnt feel like using the H440 or painting the Define S.
Snow Leopard
Black Templar
CPU: Intel i7-4790k
PSU: Corsair AX1200i
Case: Fractal Design Define S
HDD: Seagate Barracuda 2TB + 1TB
Motherboard: Asus Maximus VII Formula
CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Nepton 240m
RAM: Corsair Vengeance Pro 16GB @ 1600MHz
SSD: Crucial MX100 250GB (OS) / Samsung 850 EVO 500GB (Steam)
Extra's: CableMod Sleeved cables (White) / NZXT Sleeved LED Kit (White)
GPU: Gigabyte GTX 980 G1 Gaming 2-way SLI (swapping out for 980 ti G1 x2)
Fans: Fractal Design Dynamic GP-14 x 4 (Case fans) / Corsair SP120 High Performance PWM x 2(CPU Cooler)
Group photo!
And the rest!
The good news: Most of the parts have actually come in much quiker than i had hoped. I will be reusing my 980's from my current build, along with the i7-4790k. All that's left is wait for Amazon to delive my case...if only the seller provided tracking :<
Edit: Snow Leopard is dead! Long live Black Templar! Since there appears to be an older build with this name, I have chosen to go for Black Templar. The color scheme matches the chpter colors and who does'nt love WH:40k?
Last min check
After a year of saving, and a couple of months of planning, I'll be soon able to go purchase these parts!
What do you guys think?

Blood red Phanteks/Asus/Corsair Watercooled Build (opinions?)
So after trying clear, clear red, clear blue and pastel blue, I decided to go pastel blood red. I think we have a winner folks. This matches just everything in the case just perfectly.
Started by flushing the old coolant out.
Added the Pastel white and biocide:
And then the red.. Lots n lots of red. The trick is after you get that nice bright red .. you add just a few drops of dark blue to bring out the blood red colour.

Corsair Carbide 500R PSU and Drive-cage Shroud (First ever mod)
Hey guys, long time lurker and LTT follower here, before we get started, I would like to say, that any constructive
criticism is very welcome, but bear in mind, I have limited tools and this is my first ever "real" mod, and the
first time I've worked with metal.
This will also, for now, be a one-parter, as the mod itself is not very extensive and it was done over the
course of a weekend, also, sorry for some of the potato quality pictures but let's get on with it!
This is not going to be one of those insane mods that some of the other members here on the forum
does, but I still think it's worth sharing, even if it is just to inspire budding modders to take the first step,
and try something simple for themselves.
I've had my Carbide 500R ever since it was released back in 2011. About a year or so ago I pulled out the
meshed side-panel and slapped on a plexiglass plate I had laying around, but ever since I saw the release
of the NZXT H440 and especially the NZXT S340, I've wanted to buy one, just to get a proper window and
a basement in my case. But I figured that I can't sell my case for much, so I might as well just try to mod
it, and if it didn't work out I could always just buy a new case.
The first thing I did was make a cardboard "mock-up" to get a feel for how it would look.
So I went down to my local version of "Home Depot" (Biltema, the Scandinavians here know what I'm talking about)
and picked up a 1.2mm steel plate (roughly 1/20"), a plexiglass plate and a can of mat black metal spray paint
Next up was cutting and text fitting the plates and then bending them.
A few coats of paint later.
Finally came the hardest part, removing the side-panel "bulge", at this point I enlisted the help of my dad,
we decided to try and mill out the piece and it worked, but it tok us over an hour to get through all the way around
A few images of the glass side fitting, cutting out the "bulge" removed a LOT of the structural integrate
and the panel became super wobbly, luckily, adding the side panel later on made the panel stable again.
Some clean shots of the case without the side panel.
Some day-time shots of my set up.
Some night-time shots (sorry for the potato quality)
And finally a few close ups.
Sorry for the ultra long post, hope it's okay.
Finishing off I'd like to give a shout out to my dad, who made this possible.
Feel free to ask any questions, give feed back, tip or ideas for improvement.
Dumb Weeaboo fools around with Windows 95 Computer Guts
I found my family's old PoS Windows 95 computer in the garage
So like a normal person would, I ripped everything out of it for fun!
Was surprised that neither the hard drive or CD drive were screwed in, yet the floppy drive was.
According to my parents we bought this off some jackwipe for $2300 back then. That's more than all the computers in this house cost combined.
Know what any of those weird cards or connectors were?

The Little Red Rendering Hood - Oddball Build Log
The Little Red Rendering Hood
6 Cores of Weird
@Rumikarimu a banner would be sick yo. I filled out your form.
*Disclaimer*
The use of "The Creator," "He," or other similar terms, has nothing to do with God(s), they refer to me, the creator of this build. Just didn't want to offend anybody. Also my grammar is sub-par for a native English-Speaker. Enjoy.
The Story:
One day in the deep, dark forest of PCPartpicker, emerged a two builds named "4690k/770" and "4790k/750ti." They were placed there by the creator, nicon. He had the intention of creating a rendering machine for under $1050. Nicon loved to use the Adobe Suite everyday to create awesome content, for multiple reasons. He was torn between the two builds, because they both had their benefits. Alas, there was an evil being in the forest named "Lack of Money (LOM)" (aka. The Fox). LOM was causing Him to not be able to afford the builds. Nicon was mad. Suddenly, nicon came across more money, banishing LOM from the forest. The creator wondered what he could do with the extra money, and suddenly he knew. One word, "X99." Poof! Into the forest of PCPartpicker emerged a young build named the "Little Red Rendering Hood"
The End.
OK, enough with the crappy attempt to make a computer-themed fan-fic of the Little Red Riding Hood, a story which the last time I read it, I was still in 2nd grade. Anyways, I think you get the point. Here is the part list (THX to @AliveGhost13 for help) and a small rationale for each part:
Intel Core i7-5820K 3.3GHz 6-Core Processor:
Murders the 4790k in anything multithreaded (rendering). I'm not going for 3-4 way SLI, so 5930k is pointless for me.
Noctua NH-U14s:
It's like a mini D15. It's quiet and it kicks ass. In some cases (no pun intended), it beats the D15 performance-wise.
ASRock Fatal1ty X99M Killer Micro ATX LGA2011-3 Motherboard:
Gets good reviews, mATX, $40 rebate yo. It's also called the Fatality Killer, so +50 points.
A-Data XPG Z1 16GB (4 x 4GB) DDR4-2800 Memory:
Cheapest 16gb kit that matched my build colors. Also looks badass, like a bloody (actual blood, not the British expression) pyramid. 2800mhz isn't exactly slow either.
A-Data Premier Pro SP900 64GB 2.5" Solid State Drive:
64gb is all you need for OS (Win 10), and essential applications.
Western Digital Caviar Blue 1TB 3.5" 7200RPM Internal Hard Drive:
Reliable, good. I once a one dropped on on the ground from shoulder level (~5.5 foot) and it still works like a charm. I also put most of my media on external drives, don't ask.
Gigabyte GeForce GTX 750 Ti 2GB WINDFORCE Video Card:
I'm not gaming. Even if I was the 750ti is a strong performer. A 750ti is all I need to accelerate rendering/previews. Yes, a Quadro M6000 will render faster, but it will not scale with it's price difference. The 750ti reaches a sweet-spot in rendering performance/value. Blue PCB sukkks, might put some white/red acrylic over it as a pseudo-backplate.
Thermaltake Core V21 MicroATX Mini Tower Case:
Good, relatively large mATX case. Easy to work in, has room for the cooler, and a basement for the PSU+cables. Also great airflow/customizability.
Raidmax 530W Semi-Modular ATX Power Supply:
Gets good reviews, will work up to a 970 (if I upgrade)
Gigabyte GC-WB867D-I 802.11a/b/g/n/ac PCI-Express x1 Wi-Fi + Bluetooth Adapter:
I'm in a room with no wired connection. Fast, good, cheap and comes with bluetooth.
(Future Upgrade) Noctua NF-A14 industrialPPC-2000 PWM 140mm Fan (x3) + Noctua Red rubber-corner things:
Good, quiet, matches build.
(Future Upgrade) A white and red (maybe red diagonal stripes on white background) acrylic backplate for the 750ti:
Blue PCBs suck.
Total:
~$1135 w/rebates, promos
Everything has been ordered from SuperBiiz, Newegg, and Amazon. Amazon Prime stuff will come on Friday (12th). Other stuff is expected from Monday-Wednesday (15th-17th) next week.
Hope you guys like it,
nicon
P.S. The funny thing is, red is one of my least favorite colors.

Process
Planning of the design and placement of the computer parts were done.
The structure and position was drawn on the acrylic and was ready for cutting!
After cutting, rough assembly was done to assess the fit.
Removal of the protective covering and the power supply mounted.
After final assembly and everything was confirmed to be fitting nicely, carbon fiber vinyl was cut for the design of The Tesseract.
Accidentally cut myself with my beloved Exacto Knife. OUCH.
After all the tedious cutting of the vinyl, assembly of the entire PC and the LED strips were installed. BAM! The Tesseract was created!
